events:

Spring – a Divas concert with fabulous soloists and
astounding door prizes

Arts Gala

to Open the Heart |
|
The
music ministry delights in providing music that opens the
heart to the CSL message. Each Sunday, Jal Feldman and the
house band accompany our talented congregant soloists,
fabulous local guest artists such as Marco Cassone and M-Pact,
Steven Merritt, Stefan Mitchell, Garnett Hundley and Beverly
Daugherty, and Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel, or national
touring artists such as Antion (from Hawaii), Karen Drucker
(California), Cynthia James (Colorado) and Meg Rayne
(Vermont).
Our choir and small ensembles also participate in our worship
services. Our music programming draws from many musical styles
- pop, rock, jazz, country, contemporary inspirational,
gospel, folk, ethnic and classical.
Prospective
guest artists from every tradition are invited to send a demo
CD and cover letter to the music ministry for perusal.

| Choir
of Light |
Eric
leads rehearsal every Thursday, plus a Saturday rehearsal just
before the
once-a-month Sunday morning performances. The Choir also
performs at special events and holidays, including Easter and
Christmas at Benaroya Hall, as well as outreach and guest
performances in the Seattle are and beyond. The Choir has been
featured at Intiman Theatre (“Black Nativity”), NW
Folklife Festival, and the New Thought Choir Festival in
Oregon. A flyer with details is available in the Fellowship

Voce Chant Group |
| This
8-voice auditioned ensemble provides music for
our
special events.
|
| Back-up
Singing |
| If
you're one of those natural harmonizers who can't keep from
oohing and ahhing, you may be perfect for occasional back-up
singing for Sunday services. Keep an eye out for
seasonal auditions, or call the music ministry to arrange for
an audition. |
