FAMILY PARTICIPATION

First Time Attending?

If it is your first time attending K.I.D.S. program we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes early and meet the teacher and assistant for your child’s classroom.  Please be prepared to stay with your child if necessary to ease the transition into their new spiritual classroom.   There are supplies to make your child a name tag so that the teachers and other children can welcome them by name to the group.  There is a visitors sign in sheet located in each classroom, please sign your child in and out using that form.  Only the person who dropped off the child will be allowed to pick that child up so please send the same parent.

Once you have attended CSL, two to three times, we ask that you ”enroll” your child in our program by filling out a registration form located behind the sign in sheets at the welcome table of each classroom. Fill out the front & back of that form and hand it to the teacher. Once you have filled out the form, you will find your child’s name on a sign in sheet, alphabetized by their first name.  Please use that form to sign in & out each week that you attend.

Family Participation:

Parents and Guardians can assist their children in having a positive experience by preparing them ahead of time. The children's program at CSL is not "childcare". It is not "school". The same amount of planning, prayer and intention go into each class for the children as for the adult worship service.

Our children’s church program is a collaborative effort between teachers and families.  Together, we create an environment that is welcoming, nurturing and inspiring.  We are here to partner with you in supporting the spiritual growth of your beloved children.   Because we know that parents and guardians are their children’s most valuable teachers, we have designed our program to include family participation in the classroom.  After you have been here a couple of times, please ask your child’s teacher how you can sign up to volunteer.
